A
reminder of the Board of Directors
meeting on Thursday December 1,
2005, in the La Cañada CitiBank
conference room at
7 PM.

A reminder of the Annual Christmas
Social scheduled for December 11,
2005. It seems that the sign-up
sheet came up missing, so you might
want to check with Howard or Harriet
to confirm your attendance plans.
The FilAM Kiwanis Club is sponsoring
a Holiday See's Candy sale. Check
your E-mail for details.
The Mid-Winter Conference is
scheduled for the weekend of
February 2 thru 5, 2006. There will
be a recognition for all Dunlap
Members. If you are planning to
attend the conference be sure to
attend the Talent Show and cheer for
Tom Burrows, Prez Paul and his dance
partner Elaine will be performing.
All of us better start practicing
the recitation of the Kiwanis
Defining Statement. Paul plans to
place all of our names in a jar, and
plans to draw one name each week to
recite the Kiwanis Defining
Statement. More to come.

Paul will be out of town next week,
and President Elect, Steve Hagerty
will take up the gavel.
A big welcome back for Dick DeGrey!
He looks great, and everyone was
happy to see him in attendance.
Next week: Flag Salute by 12/7 Bill
Watts and Invocation by Bob
Wallace
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mike Leininger
reminded us to attend the tree
lighting Ceremony at Glenola Park.
Bachy asked all of us
to give generously to the Children's
Hospital tubs.
Secretary Bill
reminded all committee Chairs to get
their monthly reports in by the
Board Meeting.
FROSTY’S SLA REPORT
Harriet Hammons's
aunt passed away this past week, and
we will keep the family in our
thoughts and prayers.
Patsy Christianson
had surgery on Monday, and is doing
well. She is at Verdugo Hills
Hospital.
Carl Gieseke is doing
much better, but has a bad cold.
THE PROGRAM
Jack Dawson gave a
great program on the Canals located
in the Eastern Region of the United
States. He began with a history of
canals around the world, and focused
on the US and Canada. He introduced
us to canals that many of us didn't
know existed. Jack's program ranks
as one of the most informative
presentations we have had
.

HAPPY &
SAD BUCKS
Mary Gant reminded
Paul that she had already
contributed $140 for all of UCLA's
wins this season. She challenged
Paul to match her contribution if
USC beats UCLA this Saturday. Paul
took the challenge, and Lloyd Welch
also got in on the action by
stepping up to the same challenge.
The question is "What will Mary do
if UCLA pulls out a win??? More to
come on this issue next week.
P.S. I sure hope I got all of
tis right!
Prez Paul
announced that there might be a
future Dress Up Day, and challenged
Daryal Gant to Dress up in a costume
he wore during his senior year at
Dinuba High School. Just as a
reminder to Daryal and all - Paul
had an 8 X 10 of Daryal all decked
out. I can't wait to see the real
thing.
