FROSTY’S SLA REPORT

Good news!  No news today reporting anyone “sick, lame, or ailing.”

THE PROGRAM

MELANIE WINTER, associated with the Los Angeles River Project, mixed nostalgia and information in the story of L.A.’s river…its history, problems, and future. (Ah, what Portola must have seen when he saw the L.A. basin in 1769!) She stressed  the need for a different approach to solving what has been known as ‘the concrete and asphalt depressed infrastructure’  With thoughtful watershed management, she informed our club, there could be parks along the river, bicycle paths, and a coordinated effort to have better quality water and water saved for our entire region.
