THE PROGRAM

Jim Stratton introduced Don Sheppard from  LAFC who presented us with a very informative and passionate program about  the LAFC Soccer Club and Foundation.

LAFC is a sporting organization with a unique and distinguished focus on leading and guiding young people of all races  and economic situations to a brighter future and a better life. They use the sport of soccer, as the platform to accomplish their youth development goals.  LAFC leverages their outstanding soccer academy to focus on the importance of quality education and health care.  LAFC removes financial barriers that prevent many youth from accessing the educational programs and services they need in order to excel.

In the community, LAFC partners with local groups that provide education and health care services so that they can leverage benefits to youth through their specialty. LAFC will go into an economically distressed area and:

  • Build soccer fields, including irrigation, lights, bleachers, etc.
  • Set up leagues
  • Provide coach and referee training
  • Offer clinics and skills training by our world class staff
  • Provide uniforms, cleats and equipment to support these leagues

For more information about the LAFC Soccer Club or Foundation please visit their website  lafcsoccerclub.com or lafcfoundation.org.
