THE PROGRAM

Bill Watts introduced our speaker Barbara Schwartz, M.A., who believes that “when your brain and body are in balance your life is in Equilibrium which is why she calls her practice “EQUILIBRIUM”.  Barbara is a pioneer in the education and development of effective techniques for overcoming symptoms of autism, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD and other related problems - like anxiety, stress, fear, fall and balance issues from physical, emotional, learning and environmental conditions affecting children and adults in alarming numbers.

Ms. Schwartz has over 25 years of credentialed classroom teaching experience and is an Educational Kinesiologist, Developmental Specialist, a Certified Brain Gym® Instructor, Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome Evaluator and Holistic Health Practitioner.

She specifically narrowed her program today to the discussion of autism indicating that due to better diagnoses, autism is a much more prevalent problem than previously thought.  She indicated  possible causes of autism as (1) genetic and (2) environmental with pre-mature births and caesarean births being slightly more conducive to a baby being autistic.  She further discussed various environmental issues such as pesticides, additives, mercury, antibiotics, vaccinations and air pollution as possible contributing factors.

As an author, frequent lecturer and television personality, Barbara Schwartz offers articles, lectures and workshops on many topics for children, adults, and the senior population.
