Announcements

 

Frosty Boyd—Hal Thomas’ wife Julia passed away this past Saturday.

Diane Della Valle—nominated Cory Stevens for the board. It was voted to close the nomintations. We will vote on it in two weeks.

Diane Della Valle—read a thank you note from Challenge Air for the help of our Kiwanis volunteers and the $500 donation.

Norm Johnson—sent an email regarding writing the weekly newsletter to 21 people. 8 people responded. It is important as a record. Contact Norm to help out.

Carl Christensen—read a thank you note from one of the Terrific Kids.

Craig Wallace (from Pasadena Kiwanis)—invited us to the International Interclub on Dec. 30th at the University Club from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Stay afterwards to see the floats being built.

Pat Anderson—invited all of us to the Festival in Memorial Park on Dec. 4th from 4:00 to 7:00. There will be snow, reindeer and Mr. & Mrs. Clause as well as the tree lighting.

Howard Backer—please donate to the cans on the table for the doctor’s program

Linda Magarian—Dec 14th is our Christmas party at Carl Christensen’s studio. It is $35/pp and the no-host bar begins at 5:00 with dinner being at 6:00.

Brian Fuller—he has a business called Fuller concepts. He ran against Anthony Portantino this last election. AND he says, “The Newsletter might just come my way”

Rolando Morales—told us about his lovely family and how he got to be in the banking

Marianne Berkuta—among her many accomplishments were hiking Mount Kilamanjaro and receiving her doctorate from USC.

Carl Christensen—happy buck for grandkids are coming for Thanksgiving, happy buck for his studio soon to have doors, sad buck for his studio not having lights.

Gigi Schlueter—happy buck for her son-in-law being in a guest-starring role on House last night. He was great but the show was a stinker.
