There will be a Board Meeting following our regular meeting today at 1:35 pm.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Tom Burrows announced that the talent show is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2008.  Contact Tom if you are interested in participating in the talent show. 

 Howard Backer has collected $1,800 in the cans on the tables to support training of doctors for the Pediatric Training program.

Pat Anderson - The La Caņada Chamber Mixer for July will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2008, beginning at 5:30 pm.  The theme is Jam'n Jamaican, and casual tropical attire is encouraged.  The Host is LeeAnn's Place, 823 Foothill Blvd., LCF.

Carl Christensen announced an InterClub for this coming Monday evening with the Verdugo Hills Club.   See Carl for the details if you can make it.

Bob Wallace announced the District Convention scheduled in August.  If you are planning to attend see please see Bob for the details.  This is a great opportunity to learn a lot about Kiwanis!

Pam Feterl reminded us that she is collecting recyclables.  Also, the next season of Travel Adventures is scheduled to begin on the 25th of August.

HAPPY & SAD BUCKS

Ellie Wildermuth had a Happy Buck for Tom Slaughter who fixed her computer.

Clyde Hemphill had a Happy Buck for Jack Dawson and his source of Jokes.

Elizabeth Georgeon had a Happy Buck for her Grandchildren who used a pile of old boxes to build a fort in the front yard.

Bob Wallace's granddaughter, Eirn, is one week old, and both mother and grandmother are doing fine.

Ed Moulton had a Happy Buck for Norm Johnson who brings Ed to the meetings.

Pat Anderson had a Happy Buck for the Von's Plaza project.  They have contacted the City to get the final review and approval on the plans.
