Prez: Urgent need for members to sign up as guest editor, sign
up board was passed around, give to Nick upon completion.
Bob Wallace introduced Rhoda Backer as a new member, spouse
Howard Backer proudly spoke about their 28 years of blissful
marriage. Rhoda received her temporary badge, Kiwanis Pin, list
of requirements.

Project Child Safe Golf Tournament: President& CEO Ty Ritter is
requesting support, Ty is hosting Annual Golf Tournament &
Charity Fundraiser, venue is the Brookside Golf Course in
Pasadena on June 6th, 2008.
Ceramics Department: Megan Nordvedt is the new CEO

instead of 50 cents, Happy for finishing the Soap Box Derby
program, and for Mike Gillespie’s attendance as a guest.

his lost visa card.

Daryal Gant: For club’s members for inviting many guests that
resulted in nine (9) new members, minus one (1) for a net of
eight (8) new members.

Nick Berkuta: Nick announced that due to a Rotator Cap injury,
he is disabled and cannot pound nails, he needs volunteers for
the Club’s Habitat Project

and Three (3) for the sign in, Need help for Friday Evening Sign

Hal Protter provided excellent information to the Kiwanis
members regarding the Inevitable Switch to Digital Television (DTV)
as a result of the legislation passed by Congress.
Why the Switch? Under the legislation passed by Congress – the
Deficit Reduction Act of 2005- free local broadcast television
stations are required to turn off their analog channels on
February 17, 2009, and continue broadcasting exclusively in the
digital format.
Information flyers were made available to all the Kiwanis
members and guests.
