The Prez sez . . .

Prez Steve Hagerty
acknowledged the appearance of Joel Peterson with a
"Glad to see you back!"
Clyde Hemphill
pointed out the new Dunlap Awards patch on our awards banner.
At present we have two members, Daryal Gant and
Harriet Hammons, who are recipients of the Dunlap Award.
Paul Westmoreland
had overlooked our Treasurer, John Landrum, when the
Election of Officers and Directors for 2007-2008 took place last
week and held a special election to officially add John
as our Treasurer for 2007-2008.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Jack Dawson will be holding a clinic
for assembly of Soap Box Derby cars this Saturday, May 11, 2007.

Jack
Mary Gant reminded everyone to attend
the upcoming Golf Tournament and Dinner fundraiser for Ti Ritter
and his work.

Diane DellaValle reminded everyone to
plan on attending the interclub with the AM Club on May 30, 2007
to hear Carl Christensen's talk on China.

Bachy reminded everyone to put their
bills and change in the cans located on each table for
Children's Hospital.
Frosty reviewed his SLA list, as
follows: Norm Johnson, Dick DeGrey, Lloyd Welch,
Hal Thomas, Jeb Long's stepdaughter, Paul
Bobzin, Ed Moulton, Patsy Christianson and
Tom Burrows. All of these people would like to hear from
us, so please take time to give a call or send a card.
THE PROGRAM
Carl Christensen introduced Mark
Anthony who gave a very informative presentation on "The Ten
Keys to Longivity." The Ten Keys are as follows:
1- Strong Social Relationships
2- Managing Stress
3- Purpose and Passion
4- Learning something new
everyday - Challenge the Brain
5- Healthy Diet - Fruits,
Vegetables and Meat
6- Exercise - walk 30 Minutes per
day, six days per week
7- Adaptive to Change & have a
great sense of humor
8- Optimistic Identity
9- Spirituality
10- Chiropractic - care for the
elderly

Mark's associate, Martina, took
us through an exercise in Creative Visualization - Breathing and
Relaxation.
Mark and Martina did a great
job, and gave us some valuable information on staying healthy,
and having Longevity.
HAPPY & SAD BUCKS
Dave
Spence gave a Happy Buck when he learned that
Jack Dawson learned to sing in the bathtub.
Joan Peters had a Happy Buck
for her trip to Hawaii, and Three Happy Bucks
for the great Key Club at Flintridge Prep.
Karl
Johnson had a Happy Buck for the great time he
and his family had in New York.
Mary
Gant had a Happy Buck for the successful
Bingo-Barbeque, and reminded us to attend the golf tournament
fundraiser for Ti Ritter.
Pat
Flynn had a very Happy Buck for being able to
ware shoes for the first time in nine months.
Harriet
Hammons had a Happy Buck in honor of her son's
birthday, and another Happy Buck for all the Fire
Fighters who worked on the Griffith Park fire.
Joel
Peterson had a Happy Buck for his son who won
a Blue Ribbon in a recent Horse Show.
Fred
Schooley had a Happy Buck, but I couldn't hear
what it was for.
Frosty Boyd had a Happy Buck
for being able to find a parking spot in the lot.
Mel Wilson had a very Happy Buck
for his wife who got back in town last night.

Jack
Dawson had a Happy Buck for having both
Wildermouths at the meeting and had another Happy Buck
for Fred Schooley who is going to give Jack
a tennis lesson.
Diane DellaValle did something, and
she is so sorry. That's all I know about this item.

who has to put up with Jack Dawson on the tennis
court.
Jim Stratton had a Happy Buck
for the teachers who voted to accept the new contract.Joel

and the teachers who did such a great job in negotiating the
new contract.
