THE PROGRAM

Habitat for Humanity was presented by a member of the San Gabriel Chapter that was founded in 1990. A two story duplex on Maple St in Pasadena was the first project for the Chapter. The largest project ever undertaken was a 16 unit condo development composed of eight duplexes.  This project took 3 years to complete.  There current project is three homes on Palmer Avenue and Cottage Grove Street and is expected to take 11 months.  Since its inception the Chapter has built 36 houses, providing 187 men, women and children with safe, decent, affordable shelter

Guest Speaker

An interesting fact pointed out that they run a “Builders Surplus Store” on Fair Oaks in Pasadena that sells new and used building materials and other items at very reasonable prices.  (626) 792-3838.
