John Wooden

Condolences to Pat Flynn and the Flynn
family for the loss of his wife, Joyce.
I will be on vacation (cruising to many
exotic ports around the world) until March

chairing out
meetings.
Welcome back to Daryal Gant, Howard Backer

Daryal and Mary Gant have donated a
two-night three-day stay at the Ramada Inn
in Laughlin, NV. The Trip must be taken
before February 28. Diane DellaValle's
bid of $50 won the trip! Have a great time
in Laughlin!
Our District Governor will be making her
official visit on Sunday, March 5, at

sign-up sheet if you are planning to attend
the luncheon.

.Karl was
born and raised in LA. He loved sports, and
played Football and Basket Ball in High
School. He attended Loyola Mary Mount where
he received his Bachelor degree, and Air
Force ROTC training. He went into the Air

a daughter. We found out that Karl is a
great story teller, and has a lot of
material to share.
THE PROGRAM
Alex
Kirkaldy presented a very timely and
informative report on Child Sex Offenders.
He presented a history of child predators
and the court cased that have helped to
shape the current laws. (Jessica's Law and
Megan's Law) In the Sunland/Tujunga area
there are approx. 12 registered sex
offenders, there are 100,000 registered sex
offenders in California, and 25,000 of them
are missing. Jessica's Law will be on the
ballet in the November election. Jessica's
law will require registered sex offenders to
ware a GPS Tracking device.
