General Information
The 9th Annual La Cañada Flintridge Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at the La Cañada Flintridge Memorial Park. This outdoor event is from 3 to 6 p.m. and features a silent auction. A live premium wine auction will be conducted from 6 to 7 p.m. by the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Endowment Fund. This year, live music will be provided by Padres Trail.
This is a highly anticipated event with attendance expected to be around 800. More than 25 restaurants, caterers and food specialty shops will serve tastes of their delicious cuisine along with wine purveyors pouring exceptional wines from around the world.
The Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada in partnership with the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation Endowment Fund, the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce, the Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation and Le Petit Vendome.
The La Cañada Flintridge Memorial Park is located at the intersection of Foothill Blvd. and La Cañada Blvd.

Tickets are $50 if purchased in advance or $60 at the gate on the day of the event.

Beginning mid-July, tickets will also be available at the LCF Chamber of Commerce Office, Le Petit Vendome, the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation and the Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation.
Partnership
The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada serves the City of La Canada, surrounding communities and internationally by focusing on and addressing the needs of children. Club members also respond to urgent community needs and emergencies.
The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation hosts the premium wine auction and proceeds go directly to their Endowment Fund which raises private donations to support school programs that would otherwise have been cut out as a result of budget shortfalls.
The La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association is a unique combination of businesses and residential members with the mission to promote and encourage a well balanced, thriving, and prosperous business & residential community.
The Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation raises funds for the benefit of Verdugo Hills Hospital in order to meet the health care needs of the Foothill communities.
Le Petit Vendome is a generous sponsor and supporter of the Wine and Gourmet Food Tasting and is located at 958 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada.

Silent Auction
The Silent Auction is conducted from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with items donated by many local businesses, artists, and our members. Auction items will include exquisite and uniquely hand crafted jewelry, local fine restaurant and food purveyor gift certificates, athletic club and gym memberships, spa services, theater performance and sporting event tickets, access to private clubs, VIP museum attendance, family history research, hairstyle makeovers, dance lessons, auto services, golf equipment, fine wine packages, computer services, and much more.

Premium Wine Auction
The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Endowment Fund will conduct a Live Premium Wine Auction. Last year’s auction included a 2005 Riesling Sampler, some fantastic French and Italian offerings, and a trip to the Santa Ynez wine country, complete with a tour of Sea Smoke Cellars.
